Senior Java Engineer

We're seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer* with a strong background in Spring Boot and Spring Security. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining critical applications, contributing to architectural decisions, and mentoring junior team members. You will play a key part in the entire software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.

*Only Bulgarian and Serbian applicants will be considered for this role.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable applications using Java and the Spring ecosystem.
• Implement and manage application security using Spring Security.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and the overall technical direction of the product.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• Expertise with Spring Boot.
• Mandatory hands-on experience with Spring Security, including various authentication and authorization protocols.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes or Kyma.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.

NICE TO HAVE:

• Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) Servers.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
