Senior QA with Java/Appium

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior QA with a strong background in automation testing with a focus on Java and Appium. This role requires a deep commitment to quality, leadership in collaborative problem-solving, and a strategic approach to quality assurance processes. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Automation Test Suite Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for the banking application using Java and Appium.

• Extend the existing test suite for mobile platforms (iOS and Android).

• Ensure comprehensive test coverage across critical banking workflows, including account management, payments, and transactions.

• Integrate new tests into the existing Jenkins pipeline for seamless execution and reporting.

• Leveragе best practices in coding standards, design patterns, and code reviews to ensure maintainability.

Framework Enhancement:

• Enhance and maintain the existing automation framework to support scalability and flexibility.

• Implement reusable components and libraries to streamline test development.

• Introduce robust reporting mechanisms for better traceability of test results.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and QA teams, to gather test requirements and ensure test coverage.

Training and Knowledge Sharing:

• Create detailed documentation and training materials for the developed automation

test suite.

• Conduct hands-on training sessions for the internal QA team to ensure they can effectively maintain and execute the test suite.

• Mentor junior QA team members on best practices in automation.

Execution and Maintenance:

• Execute automated tests and analyze results, ensuring defects are documented and communicated effectively.

• Perform routine maintenance on the automation framework to adapt to application changes and updates.

• Identify opportunities for improvement in test coverage, efficiency, and execution speed.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• 5+ years of experience in QA automation with a strong focus on Java and Appium for mobile automation.

• Hands-on experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline integration.

• Strong understanding of mobile testing challenges, including device management, test stability, and reporting.

• Proven track record of developing and scaling automation frameworks.

• Experience working on Mac OS environments.

• Familiarity with testing in banking/financial domains or similar regulated industries is a plus.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug issues in the test automation pipeline.

• Excellent communication skills for creating documentation, conducting training, and collaborating with stakeholders.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with other automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, RestAssured for API testing).

• Experience with Git and version control best practices.

• Knowledge of performance testing or security testing tools.

• Familiarity with Docker or containerized environments.
